Given the versatile nature of Music Therapy, it can function very well with the other therapeutic approaches in the department and sometimes even support them in achieving their goals.

The possibility of connecting with the other therapies has been referred to as “creating a liaison”.

Music Therapy supports the following disciplines in achieving their goal:

Physiotherapy: activation o motoric processes

Education: activation of cognitive processes such as:

Attention, Memory, Perception,  Ideation, Framing, Seriation

Psychology:  Unblocking emotions

Liberating function, Self-awareness

Art Therapy: re elaboration of the experienced emotions.

For the volunteers:  social bonding, developing games and leisure time activities.

For parents and general staff: pleasantness of the music therapeutic contribution. Its ability to lift the spirit.

For the medical staff: collaboration in the attempt to augment the pain threshold.
